Course Planning Sheets

Please note that student enrollment and registration is separate from the course selection process. Information regarding enrollment/registration will be posted on the Melissa ISD website at www.melissaisd.org/register.

IMPORTANT: Please understand that elective course requests are not guaranteed. We will do our best to place students in the electives they choose and show interest in, but there is a possibility due to class size limitations and specific academic needs that this may not be possible. In addition, electives may be replaced by Curriculum Enrichment (CE) intervention classes; CE placement is determined by the student's STAAR scores, MAP scores, and other applicable data.

IB: Melissa ISD announced in November that the district is in the process of developing a K-12 International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Melissa Schools. This multi-year process is in the early stages, and will introduce some adjustments to middle school courses beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. As a result, some of your student’s course changes may include: increased opportunities for cross-curricular study, second language acquisition, advanced curriculum options, design classes (i.e. Research, STEM, and Tech), additional electives, and IB approaches to learning. If you are interested in learning more about the IB program, please visit the IB table during the Elective Showcase or visit the IB web page at www.melissaisd.org/ib.
